Menus

A site has two kinds of menu, both built from its products by code:

Who uses it Made of
Online menus Customers ordering online Tabs, each a list of products
Till menus Staff at the till Sections, each a set of buttons

An online menu serves one or more order types (takeaway, delivery). A menu serving none appears nowhere.

  1. POST /menus with a name and its order types.
  2. POST /menus/{code}/tabs for each tab, with its products in order.
  3. PATCH /menus/{code}/tabs/{tab} to rename a tab or replace its products, and DELETE to take one off. Removing a tab leaves its products as they are.

Every change answers with the whole menu as it now is.

A till menu is unpublished when it is made, so it can be built before the tills receive it. Publish it with PATCH /till-menus/{code} and "published": true.

  • When it is offered: availability is a list of windows, each with days and an optional startsAt and endsAt in the site’s time ("11:00"). An empty list is always.
  • Sections are the tabs along the till. Add one with a list of products, which become a button each, in order.

Reading a till menu shows every button, including folders and promotion buttons arranged in the portal. Setting a section’s products through the API replaces all its buttons, folders included; arranging folders and button positions is done in the Dnero portal.
